Joy

In our family my husband is not the shopper, until this year (when he discovered you could buy almost anything online), I did about 95% of the Christmas shopping - even for some of my own presents! But regardless of who goes to the store, Trace always seems to get credit for buying the "best" gifts. I guess the boys assume that I am not cool enough to know what they would like.

This page is based on the December sketch for My Sketch World by Lucy.

Christmas Choir

Last year we actually convinced Joshua and Justyn to be a part of our Christmas Children's Choir. It was fun to have them be a part of the Christmas service. I used one of Debbie's great sketches from Ally Scraps for this page made with paper and embellies from Echo Park.

Christmas Past

It seems that every year I take lots of pictures at Christmas - parties, family, friends, opening presents, etc. However, when it comes time to scrap the pictures, the Christmas spirit is long gone. So in an effort to catch up, and while I am still in a Christmas mood, I am now scrapping the last two years of Christmas pictures that I have been avoiding.

This layout is based on a great sketch from The Scrappiest using paper by Autumn Leaves - Merry & Bright and chipboard from Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather.

Got Welts?

Our Christmas paintball war! Both older boys, Daddy and Nan geared up to play with their new paintball guns. We began a tradition a few years ago that we would skip the "Christmas car trips". Our kids would get up, open presents and then we would have to get dressed and start visiting relatives. I didn't grow up with a lot of family around at the holidays so my fondest memories are of playing with all my stuff on Christmas. We now stay home on Christmas day and visit family on other days. We stay in our pajamas for as long as we want and spend the day enjoying being at home. (I don't cook either - we usually have pizza!)
