Happy Day

It's a very happy day - especially since I spent it at my scrap desk! Here is one of the LOs I did based on one of Tabitha's sketches over at Let's Get Sketchy. I went way outside the box - I didn't really feel like cutting a bunch of circles so I used squares instead!

Stars and Stripes

This has been a crazy week of events! And of course every day life is bleeding into my scrapping! Here is a LO I did using Vintage T I got from Scrappin' Goodtime store and retreat.

Go Camping!

Our 2nd Camp-Friendzy challenge is up - hosted by yours truly! You know you want to earn your Campfire Songs badge!

You can't go to camp without learning all the fun songs! Our favorite is to do "Singin' In the Rain" during Rec and for the Rec leader to soak the kids with the hose!

So this challenge is simple - you must use your favorite song (or lyrics) on your LO - it does not need to be a camp song! My current favorite song - much to the dismay of my BF and son is "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus - I know... I can't explain why but it is! Here is the page I made of DH and DS at a Superbowl Party - how much more American can you get than a football party!

All LOs must new for this challenge - then post them in the Scrap-Friendzy gallery and link them back here! If you complete this challenge by Sunday June 24th at midnight you will be entered to win this weeks Camp prize!

Make sure you post in the "Badge Me Baby" post to let us know you earned your Campfire Songs badge because the "Camper Of The Year" will be determined by who has the most badges by midnight on Sunday, August 19th OR in case of a tie, we will do a random draw.

So go dig out your Ipod - pick your favorite song and get scrappin!

Here is a little something I whipped up for your viewing enjoyment on the hike! We all like to make crafts at camp to take home so here is an altered frame I made! (IRL it will be a Father's Day gift for DH) I started with a simple 5x7 acrylic frame I purchased at the Dollar Tree. Then I got out a pic of all my boys on our trip to Colorado where we went on some of the most beautiful hikes we have taken as a family! I used pp and embellies from the BoBunny Etc. collection that were just perfect for our outdoor adventure photos - the papers and photo are inside the frame and other embellies are mounted on the outside - such a simple, fun and inexpensive project!

Busy Days

Why does May always have to be so busy!? It seems like it is just non-stop go, go, go! Luckily tomorrow is the last day of school and Saturday we will be leaving for vacation. So I was finally able to steal a few minutes worth of scrappy time tonight. This project is based on a sketch by Tabitha over at Let's Get Sketchy. But I wanted to create something a little more out of the box - so I put my LO on a record!

Happy NSD to everyone! I hope you are all getting some scrappy time in today! We had soccer this morning and now I am free! I told DH that he was in charge of dinner so I have all evening to play! Hippity Hop Crop

It's croppin' time! Come join us over at Scrap-Friendzy for our Hippity Hop Crop!

It's almost gone!

I can't believe it is March 31st, one fourth of the year is over! Not only that but tomorrow is the twins birthday - and they are going to be nine - where is the time going!? I finally had some time to scrap today, but I am fighting a lack of creativity. Luckily with some new paper in my stash I managed to crank out this LO based on the March sketch from the My Scraps and More blog.

March

I can't believe we are already in the last week of March! One quarter of the year is already gone! What they say about March is has held true for me - in March my scrapping came in like a lion, but is going out like a lamb! We have been so busy with sports and other obligations it seems that there just aren't enough hours in the day to do all the nothing I want! Regardless I have been pushing through and trying to get several LOs done in whatever moments I can steal away in my scrap room. Here is the latest one I did based on a great sketch by Tabitha over at Let's Get Sketchy:

Be Seusspired!

It is another challenge day over at Scrap-Friendzy and it's my turn to host a challenge. We are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday all month long and my challenge today is inspired by the book Horton Hears a Who. If you remember the story Horton does everything he can to find a safe home for the Who's! All the other animals don't believe that there is a tiny town full of tiny people living on a tiny flower being carried around by a giant elephant - hence my challenge! Create a LO with things big and small! I have big and small pictures, flowers, stars and buttons. So go and be Seusspired!

Spring Break

I am so glad it is finally here! I love not having to get up at the crack of dawn to get kids ready for school. Especially since we have sprung forward, it is now dark when I have to get up but at least I have a week before I have to do that! I am working a couple days and I have my awesome nephews and niece with me for a few days so I don't see a lot of scrappy time happening in the next couple days, but here are a couple LOs I did yesterday!

Its a blustery day!

Well it is cold and rainy outside and looks like its going to stay that way! Most people would be bothered by this but to me it just means another reason to be in my scraproom! Here are a couple LOs I got done today.

Get Your Game On Blog Hop!

Welcome to Scrap-Friendzy's "Get Your Game On" blog hop!! Our DT will have lots of inspiration for you this weekend! The hop will run from now until midnight (CST) February 5th.

I am a HUGE football fan - if the Cowboys are playing it will be on at our house, if is Friday night - we will be under the lights cheering the guys on and of course if one of my guys is playing I will bounce back and forth between cheering and hiding my eyes! So if you are watching the game you have to know how to spot your favorite players - which means knowing their number! So my ingredient for you is to add numbers to your LO! Here are a couple football LOs I have done to give you some inspiration!

Family

New Creations in the New Year

Well I am kicking January off with a bang! So far I have gotten a page a day done! Here is a LO I completed for the blog hop over at My Scraps & More! I picked up all the "ingredients" for my LO along the way including chipboard, buttons, twine, a journaling block, and two fonts!

A New Year

Well 2012 has arrived. I'd gotten so busy toward the end of the year I neglected my blog and my scrapping, but I'm back at it! Here is a LO I did for a challenge over at Scrap Fit to use the lyrics from "Love is a Battlefield" for inspiration. It is based on a sketch from Brenshevia over at the Colorful Creations blog.
